Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about logging your CB radio contacts with CB Radio Logbook.

Is CB Radio Logbook free to use?

Yes. CB Radio Logbook is completely free. Create an account and start logging your CB radio contacts right away — there's nothing to buy.

What is a QSO and how do I log one?

A QSO is a two-way radio contact between operators. To log one, add a new contact with the other operator's callsign, the channel or frequency, signal report (RST), date and time, and any notes you want to keep.

Can I see my contacts on a map?

Yes. The contact map plots your QSOs by location so you can visualise your coverage. Nearby contacts cluster together and expand as you zoom in.

Can I track my antennas and radio equipment?

Absolutely. You can record the antennas and rigs you use, then associate them with your contacts to see which setups perform best.

How do I save a contact as a favourite?

Tap the heart icon on any contact in your log to mark it as a favourite. You can then use the favourites filter to view just those contacts.

Can I export my logbook data?

Yes. Your data is yours — you can download a complete CSV export of all your contacts at any time.

Do I need a licence to use CB radio?

CB radio licensing rules vary by country. Many regions allow licence-free CB operation on approved equipment, while others require registration. Check your local regulations before transmitting.

Does CB Radio Logbook work on mobile?

Yes. The app is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets, and desktops, so you can log contacts wherever you operate.
